The BEARR Trust is inviting civil society organisations across Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia to take part in our 2026 survey.

Through this survey, we hope to gain a better understanding of the environment in which civil society organisations are currently operating. By revisiting many of the themes explored in our 2024 survey, we will also be able to identify how conditions have changed over the years.

The findings will help us build a clearer picture of the situation facing civil society across the BEARR region. They will also inform our own work, including grant-making and events, and contribute to wider discussions about the role and needs of civil society organisations.

We welcome responses from organisations of all sizes and areas of work. The survey includes 29 questions and should take approximately 10-15 minutes to fill in. All answers will be kept anonymous. Analysis of the results will be shared on our website in the near future.

The survey will remain open until 31 July 2026.
