Falling pension increases in Belarus

The average pension increased in November, but when you learn the amount of the increase, you may not be pleased

In November, the average retirement benefits for unemployed pensioners in Belarus was 851.80 rubles, reports the Ministry of Labour. This amount is 92 kopecks more than the previous month.

 

In October, the average pension rose by 37.63 rubles to 850.88 rubles. This is due to the increase of work pensions in October based on age, length of service, disability, and loss of a breadwinner. The increase was on average 5%. They were last raised in February by 10%. In November, these payments were not raised.

 

The authorities had previously stated that in 2024, the average retirement pension would grow at the same rate of 15% as in 2023. In 2025, the Ministry of Labour anticipates an increase in pensions by an average of 14% to 926 rubles.
