The Japanese Embassy in Uzbekistan has announced that its Government has donated four mobile containers with medical equipment worth about $6.2 million to Uzbekistan as part of the Economic and Social Development Programme.
The containers hold modern medical equipment used for various procedures such as ultrasound, X-ray scanners and computer imaging which will be utilised by staff in remote areas of the country, thereby increasing the availability of medical services to the population. These measures are expected to strengthen the nation’s health care system.
