The Lithuanian Government has allocated one million Euros to Ukraine to rebuild the Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital in Kyiv which was badly damaged by Russian shelling.

“We have received a request for assistance in the rebuilding of the children’s hospital and therefore decided to provide one million Euros to Ukrainian residents who have been affected by Russia’s military aggression”, said Finance Minister Gintare Skaiste at a cabinet meeting.

“We are committed to helping Ukraine rebuild its infrastructure as soon as possible and call on other countries to join us”, she added.

On Monday, Russia fired dozens of missiles at a number of Ukrainian cities in a massive attack targeted, among others, at a children’s hospital in Kyiv.

On Wednesday, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the death toll from the Russian attacks had risen to 43.
