One-off grant to Moldovan pensioners agreed with international organisations

According to Infotag, a Government proposal to grant a lump-sum allowance of 2,300 lei to 31,000 Moldovan pensioners was approved during a recent parliamentary committee session.
Under the proposal, those with more than 40 years of insurance cover and a minimum pension of up to 3,300 lei will receive this extra payment. The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection will approve the list of beneficiaries who will receive their allowance by post at the end of the year.
Members of the Foreign Policy and European Integration Commission have approved an advisory opinion on the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, the World Food Programme and the International Organisation for Migration on providing financial help to vulnerable Moldovan families.
The total budget will be 71 million lei and will be allocated through the World Food Programme and the International Organisation for Migration.
