Registration open for Donor Forum’s annual conference

The main theme of the conference will be digitisation and its application to the not-for-profit sector.
On Thursday 31 October the Donor Forum conference will take place in Technopolis Moscow on “Digital Technology: generational change– a paradigm shift in charity”. Leading IT specialists, media and digital managers, public figures, representatives of the authorities, business and charitable foundations will present their views on the development of philanthropic technology in Russia, and discuss successful and unsuccessful examples of introducing digital technologies in the philanthropic sector. It will focus specifically on building the work of donor and charitable organisations around the theme of digital transformation in 2019.
“The key trend of the last decade has been the development of information technologies, and their application to every sphere of life. In philanthropy, for example, a huge amount of data is accumulating, the communication and financial infrastructure is swiftly transforming, and the demands of the beneficiaries, new tasks and methods for implementing them are arising: regular donations, online training, telemedicine, etc. It is evident that the digitisation is already today the most important technological factor in the development of philanthropy,” notes Alexander Boldyrev, the Executive Director of the Donor Forum.
The experts will discuss whether information technologies will lead to new social problems, where the digital transformation will lead us, how NGO representatives should adapt to a digital era, and how charitable organisations should change to effectively exploit the potential of big data, artificial intelligence, the internet of things and augmented reality.
