Russia: new additions to the ‘foreign agents’ register
The Russian Ministry of Justice has added Zalina Marshenkulova to the foreign agents’ register

On 6 September, the Federation’s Ministry of Justice added the journalist, Zalina Marshenkulova; David Kankiya, council member at the Golos (Voice) CSO (which has been classed as a foreign agent); Arkady Yankovsky, former Duma deputy and journalist Alexander Savelyev to the list of foreign agents.
According to the Ministry, David Kankiya disseminated misleading information about decisions and policies implemented by Russian Federation State authorities. He has also acted as a commentator on information platforms hosted by foreign agents. In addition to Marshenkulova, Alexander Savelyev and Arkady Yankovsky as well as spreading false information, took part in producing and disseminating reports and material prepared by foreign agents to a wide group of people.
