SOS Children’s Villages raises nearly one million roubles to support victims of bullying

The charity SOS Children’s Villages has published the results of its #SOS_Against_Bullying campaign.

Collections in support of children who are being bullied at school finished on 15 September and was timed to coincide with the start of the academic year. In all, the charity managed to collect nearly one million roubles in private donations from more than 850 people.

The funds raised will be used to pay for the services of social workers, tutors, speech therapists and psychologists, as well the development of educational programmes designed by specialists, working with teachers and parents.

During the campaign, experts working with the charity held webinars for anyone with an interest in the subject and published useful information on its website and on social media for parents whose children are being bullied.
