The Russian Federation’s Justice Ministry has updated its foreign agents’ register

On 17 January, the Justice Ministry added the following to the list of foreign agents:
Ksenia Kyria – journalist;
Andrey Kozenko – journalist;
Anastasia Lotareva – journalist;
Alexandra Prokopenko – journalist;
Irina Romaliyska – TV presenter;
Anton Rubin – A public figure from Samara;
The Go to the Forest project;
The Alaya Bukva CSO.
According to the Ministry, Ksenia Kyria, Andrey Kozenko and Alexandra Prokopenko “took
part in creating and disseminating foreign agent information and material for an unlimited
number of people”.
Anastasia Lotareva and Anton Rubin “disseminated inaccurate information about decisions
taken by the Federation’s civil authorities and their policies”.
Irina Romaliyska “cooperated with an organisation whose activities are recognised as
undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as being included on the
foreign agents’ register”.
The Go to the Forest project “distributed inaccurate information about decisions taken by the
Russian authorities and the policies pursued by them and statements, portraying the Russian
armed forces in a negative way”. The man behind the project, Grigory Sverdlin, has already
been placed on the foreign agents’ list.
The Alaya Bukva CSO was established by Alexey Seregin, a recognised foreign agent.
