160,255 people (78,052 adults and 82,203 children) contracted influenza, Covid and acute viral respiratory infections (AVRI), which is 13.6% more than last week (2-8 February). Within that number there were 239 cases of Covid and 5,600 patients who were admitted to hospital with complications, including 3,115 children.
The average number of cases exceeded the AVRI epidemic threshold in Kyiv, Poltava and Khmelnytskyi, with a slight rise in the limit in Volyn, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Sunny and Cherkasy. In Kyiv and other areas, incidence rates are in line with background levels of ARVI intensity.
Since the start of the epidemic season (29 September 2025 to 8 February 2026), 2,371,781 people have had AVRIs (6.3% more than in the same period last year), with 20,525 coronavirus cases also recorded.
