Introduction of a special card for social security payments in Uzbekistan

From 1 October this year, all social security payments for the Uzbek population will be funded through a “social card”.

This was announced during a video conference chaired by Uzbekistan’s President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, that discussed the main tasks involved in expanding the current range of social services.

The transition to the new card payment will initially be made in the areas of Generosity and Support, Women and Youth, prior to the remaining 74 types of social security groups gradually being brought into the card scheme.
