Get Involved

Whether you are able to give your time, expertise, or a donation, there are many ways for you to support The BEARR Trust – we would love to hear from you if you would like to do so.

Volunteer your time

With minimal staffing and overheads, BEARR relies on regular volunteers to support our operations. Volunteers who speak fluent Russian or have other relevant language skills are needed to help with translation and interpretation. Volunteers with tech and administrative skills can help with IT, event organisation and other tasks. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please contact us.

Share your expertise

BEARR is always looking to build its network of experts, academics, and professionals working on our region and in relevant fields. As we look to grow our knowledge sharing activities with civil society organisations and academics in the region, as well as our assessment work, please contact us if you might be interested in being involved.

Become a Friend

We value enormously the help we receive from our network of Friends. Friends’ donations are BEARR’s most reliable source of funding.

Friends make a minimum donation of £30 per year, which BEARR can in most cases enhance by claiming back Gift Aid in the UK. Everything we receive enables us to help vulnerable groups and advance reform of the health and social welfare systems in our region.

Friends receive personal copies of our publications, are notified individually of forthcoming events and benefit from priority booking, and may be informed from time to time of other matters of general interest.

If you wish to become a Friend, please download the form and return it to us by post or by email. If you are able to make regular payments via standing order, that is a great help to the Trust.

Make a donation or fundraise

Donations, one-off or regular, are always welcome. These may be to support BEARR’s overall activities, or, if a large sum is involved, may be used to fund a grant under the Small Grants Scheme, a conference speaker or other specific purpose. We will be happy to discuss with donors the uses to which their donation will be put.

Donations can be made by cheque, sent to our postal address, or electronically via Virgin Money.

Fund-raising events on behalf of BEARR and to fund the Small Grants Scheme are very welcome. If you wish to hold an event, or nominate BEARR as the beneficiary of your sponsored activity, please get in touch.

Remember BEARR in your will

Please contact us if you would like to discuss ways in which a legacy donation could make a difference to BEARR’s work.
