VKontakte launches an app to help find lost friends and loved-ones

The Find Me app is a tool that can make a comprehensive search of 100 million user profiles on the Russian VKontakte and Odnoklassniki social networks, as well as in Commonwealth of Independent States and other countries.

To start the search, you will need to enter data about the person you want to find, i.e. surname, approximate age and other known information. The app will then show a selection of profiles that are held on VKontakte and Odnoklassniki. The person can be contacted by sending a message or friend request.

“Even in the age of the internet, people are still losing touch with one another. We have created an easy-to-use search and communication tool that will allow our users to reconnect with family, friends and loved-ones faster”, said VKontakte’s Strategic Partnerships Director, Dmitry Uvarov.
