Your donations, whether one-off or regular, are greatly appreciated by us and even more so by our partner organisations in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Our partners are small CSOs, for whom even a small grant can make a huge difference.

Since February 2022, we have raised over £600,000 through our Ukraine Appeal and funded over 60 community-based organisations: grassroots NGOs who provide food, clothing, shelter, medicine, transport and trauma support for thousands of people in need. We commit to passing on 100% of the money we receive to our partners, working with organisations whom we know and trust to ensure that your donations reach the people who most need it. Donations to our General Fund are used for our regular grant-giving activities, fundraising events and management of the trust. Most people working for BEARR are volunteers, enabling us to keep our operating costs low and allocate as much as possible each year to our Small Grants Scheme (SGS). Since launching the SGS in 2006, we have funded over 150 projects, contributing also to the development of civil society in the countries where we work. For more on the SGS, click here.
