The company Gazprom Neft announced the results of the ‘Hometowns’ competition of social investment programmes.

The competition received applications from over 600 CSOs, activists, social entrepreneurs, and leaders of local groups. Most of the projects related to improving the local living environment, education, and science.

Gazprom Neft awards the winners with grants and conducts project management and communication training.

“Our task is to help social initiatives to become resilient. Already more than half of the projects supported by the company are growing independently, which in turn attracts more people,” noted Alexander Dybal, chairman of the management board at Gazprom Neft.

Gazprom Neft has been running the grant competition since 2013. In this time the company has supported 775 initiatives from the Yamalo-Nenets and Khanty-Mansi autonomous okrugs, and from Omsk, Tyumen, Tomsk and Orenburg oblasts.
