President Putin offered some encouraging words to the Forum’s participants. “Some of the projects are just amazing. Such heart-warming and ambitious work being carried out by small groups of people with few resources. Your success shows that there are great opportunities and huge scope for self-fulfilment for those who take action and work together to achieve common goals. Such efforts are to be applauded and given every support. We will continue our efforts to create a favourable environment for the development of the NGO sector”, he said.

My project for my Country! is an annual contest organised by the Federation Public Chamber in the area of community action whose aims are to identify and disseminate best practice, as well as supporting and involving project authors in the development of community work in Russia. Availability is one of the competition’s main advantages in that any type of social project is welcome. The winners will receive 200,000 roubles for support and developmental work.
