Dobro.ru competition winners announced

The competition was
conducted under the auspices of the Dobro.ru programme, which is implemented by
the Bright Future International (BFI) charitable foundation jointly with
Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) Russia. 
The programme Dobro.ru is BFI’s first such project in Russia, aimed at
drawing society’s attention to socially significant voluntary initiatives, and
at the creation of conditions for the maximum number of new participants to get
involved in their activities.

 

Over a period of six
weeks, applications were received from NGOs and initiative groups from the
Saratov, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Ulyanovsk and Penza Oblasts, and the
Republics of Chuvashia, Mordovia, and Marii El. 
An expert council then selected 35 finalists, from which the jury chose
14 winners: the Yuliya Arakelyan Children’s Charity “World of Goodness and
Compassion – A” (Engels, Saratov oblast); the L.V. Sobinov Foundation for the
Support and Development of Musical Theatre (Saratov); the Nizhny Novogorod
regional NGO “Children’s Project”; the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Voluntary
Service; the initiative group “Joyful Old Age”
(Samara); the Samara regional voluntary organisation “House of Childhood”; the initiative
group of citizens of the Zapadnyi microdistrict (Syzran, Samara Oblast); the
“Participation” Society of Animal Rights Advocates (Samara); the “Pink Dandelion”
Regional Youth Ecological Organisation of the Republic of Marii El (Medvedevo,
Marii El); the “Stop AIDS” voluntary organisation (Zarechnyi, Penza Oblast);
the initiative group “New Possibilities” (Nizhny
Novgorod); the City League of Volunteers (Samara); the initiative group
“SIM-mama.ru. Help together!” (Ulyanovsk); and the “Pietas” Voluntary Service
Agency of the N.P Ogarev State University of Mordovia (Saransk, Mordovia).

 

Winners and finalists
receive monetary prizes for the development of volunteering activities.  Voting on the website programma-dobro.ru
continues until February 10.
