Projects Fair for social entrepreneurs
The Foundation for the
Development and Support of Social Entrepreneurship ‘Nashi Budushchii’ will
organise a Social Projects Fair
Registration is open for
participation in the Social Projects Fair. This will be held as part of the
first international conference ‘Social Innovations’ and will take place on 9
October in the Centre for International Trade.
The fair will give
social entrepreneurs the chance to showcase their achievements to potential
investors and share experiences with colleagues. It will also introduce them to
representatives of the authorities, and leading Russian and foreign experts
working in the field of corporate social responsibility. Products of the trade
laboratory ‘Teatr Vkusa’ will be presented at the fair, as well as the
environmentally friendly notepad ‘Ecopad’, and the original products of people
with special needs, made by the companies ‘Naivno? Ochen’ and ‘Avoska Darit Nadezhdu’
etc.
Participants of the
Social Projects Fair can also take part in themed masterclasses, roundtable
discussions and other events.
The first international
conference ‘Social Innovation’ is the brainchild of Vagit Alekperov, who is
also the founder of the country’s first charity for the development and support
of social entrepreneurship, ‘Nashi Budushchii.’ This organisation aims to develop
social innovation in Russia. The main themes addressed by the event are: social
entrepreneurship, corporate social responsibility, charity work, the
development of human capital, as well as public-private partnership in the
social sphere.
The members of the
committee’s coordinating council are: Vagit Alekperov (chairman of the Coordinating Council);
Sergei Katirin (president of the Chamber of Commerce of the Russian
Federation); Natalya Larionova (director of the Department for the Development
of Small and Medium Entrepreneurship within the Ministry of Economic
Development of the Russian Federation) Svetlana Mironuk (editor-in-chief of RIA
Novosti’); Konstantin Khabenskii (founder of the Konstantin Khabenskii
Charitable Foundation’); Aleksandr Shokhin (president of the Russian Union of
Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and president of the National Research
University: The Higher School of Economics); Aleksandr Brechalov (president of
the Russian social organisation for small and medium businesses ‘Opora
Rossii.’)
