Seminar for socially oriented NGOs (SONGOs)
at Russian ministry of economic development
The
seminar deals with the process of applying to participate in a competition for
selecting SONGOs to receive grants from
the federal budget towards implementing programmes for the development of
infrastructure in the non-commercial sector. It is planned to consider the issues involved in the competitive
selection of SONGOs situated in the areas of various administrative units of
the Russian Federation, where financial support would be given to the majority
of them. Seminars are being arranged to take place in the regions and
information about them is available on the websites of the government bodies in
the various areas that are responsible for working with NGOs.
There
is no charge for taking part. NGOs whose constitutions envisage co-working
with other SONGOs (by means e.g. of
providing informational, consultative and methodological support, co-operation
in attracting volunteers, collection and dissemination of best practice) and
who are planning to take part in the competition, are invited to be
represented.
SONGOs
were invited to apply for places at the seminar by 12 March. A video recording
is to be made at the seminar which will be available on the site of the federal
ministry of economic development at the section subheaded ‘Sotsialno
orientirovannye nekommercheskie organizatsii’ which comes under the main
heading ‘Deyatelnost’.
