Fundraisers and Sponsored Events for BEARR’s Ukraine Appeal

The BEARR Trust extends its thanks to our friends and supporters around the UK and in the USA who have so generously organised fundraisers to raise money for our Ukraine Appeal. Please see below a list of events.

On Sunday 20 March, Isaac ran the Hastings Half Marathon on our behalf, and exceeded his initial target of £500. You can read more about Isaac’s campaign and donate to the JustGiving page here.

Shakhlo, a friend of BEARR’s from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, has set up a GoFundMe campaign to support our appeal. You can find Shakhlo’s campaign page here.

On Thursday 24 March, Lauren, a young artist in Connecticut, held an art sale on Instagram to raise money for BEARR. Find out more about Lauren’s art on Instagram: @wildflower_artspace

On Thursday 31 March our friends at Langford Vets in Bristol held a free client evening on ‘Conditions of the Young Dog’, and raised over £500 for BEARR. You can view a recording of the virtual event, in which they shared tips and advice for caring for young dogs, here.

A fitness centre in Surrey held a cake sale and raised a further £500 for our appeal.

Clevedon Lawn Tennis Club organised a veterans’ tournament and kindly donated all proceeds to BEARR.

On Saturday 14 May, the Sunday School from St Alban’s Church in Oxford hosted a talent show to raise money for our appeal.

On Sunday 15 May, a long-term supporter of BEARR hosted a rare plant sale for horticultural societies in Ireland. All proceeds from the event have been donated to our Ukraine Appeal.

Ray Postill, an artist, has kindly offered to sell 300 of his paintings in support of our campaign. You can view Ray’s work over on his Instagram page @postillioart or on his website

Please contact if you would like to organise a fundraiser on our behalf. We are incredibly grateful to all those who have donated to, shared, supported and raised money for our campaign.

Warm wishes,
