Help for refugees in Moldova
BEARR was able to provide aid from the very beginning of the crisis. A partner organisation in Moldova was able to provide bedding, towels and meals to some of the very first to cross the border, many of whom had fled without any baggage. Our partners have said that BEARR’s assistance was especially important at the initial stage when assistance from other countries and donors had just begun to arrive.
Our partner organisation is continuing to work with the increasing flow of refugees into Moldova and has now provided towels and bedding to over 250 refugees, including in the centre and south of the country, where other assistance is taken longer to reach them.
They told us “We also provide hot meals to several families who have small children and who live in different apartments and do not have the opportunity to buy hot meals themselves, but need it.”
