Violence against women & girls remains a widesprea

Violence against women & girls remains a widespread and critical concern in Tajikistan.

thebearrtrust was glad to support a project run by Gulrukhsor & ghamkhori within our #SmallGrantsScheme 2023.

They aim to amplify voices of women suffering from domestic violence & build capacity of NGOs involved, including advocacy.

This is a quote from a recent letter of our #UkraineAppeal grantee, who despite losing her house to the flood after Kakhovka dam destruction, refuses to leave Kherson and the families she supports, despite the constant shelling.

At The BEARR Trust we have devoted a lot of effort over the summer and autumn to supporting community-based therapy delivered by small voluntary groups, some with psychologists, others involving art, music, dance and drama. Recently, much of our support has gone to groups working in Zaporyzhzhiya, Odesa, Kherson, and Kharkiv.
