Applications open for Impulse of Good prize for social entrepreneurship

The Impulse of Good prize has begun accepting applications




On 5 April, the Impulse of Good prize began its call for applications. The prize is awarded for contribution to the development and promotion of social entrepreneurship in Russia.


The Impulse of Good prize is presented annually to social entrepreneurs, representatives of public organisations, heads of governmental initiatives, journalists, the media and educational institutions.


The categories of nomination for the Impulse of Good prize 2019 are:


  • “Personal contribution to the development of social entrepreneurship”
  • “Commitment to social entrepreneurship”
  • “Best Regional Social Entrepreneurship Support Program”
  • “Best corporate program for the development of social entrepreneurship”
  • “Best coverage of social entrepreneurship in the media”
  • “Best Russian educational program in the field of social entrepreneurship”
  • “Best social entrepreneurship startup”


The prize fund of the prize will be at least 2,530,000 rubles.


Applications for the Impulse of Good prize are accepted until June 16 (up to 6:00pm Moscow time). An applicant may be a resident of any region of the Russian Federation. To participate in the competition, you must fill out an application on the official website.

The Impulse of Good prize was founded by the Our Future Foundation of Regional Social Programs. The winners are businesspeople, representatives of large business and the non-profit sector, educational institutions, the media and representatives of federal and regional authorities.


The prizewinners are determined by the public council of the Our Future Foundation, which includes public figures, heads of state and public organisations and representatives of the executive and legislative bodies. The head of the public council is Vagit Alekperov.


For seven years, the organising committee of the Impulse of Good prize has received 1,506 applications from 80 regions across Russia. There have been 79 winners from 17 different regions, including the revered Russian artists Sergey Bezrukov and Konstantin Khabensky, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Olga Epifanova, social entrepreneurs Roman Aranin and Anton Kuchumov, and media organisations Channel One and TASS.
