21.06.2022

Rules for grants to create an accessible environment have been approved by Russia’s Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

According to the Russian government’s website, the Ministry of Education will be holding a grant competition to create a universally accessible environment in public and private children’s camps.

An accessible environment includes the provision of smooth asphalt and sensory markers, widened doorways, ramps and lifts, well-equipped gyms, playgrounds, as well as specialist educational equipment, information panels for children with hearing problems, orthopaedic chairs and computer equipment for teaching children with disabilities.

The federal budget for 2022-2024 has set aside 210 million roubles for this grant programme, i.e. 70 million roubles per year.
