Russia’s ministry of economic development has announced a competition for subjects of the Russian Federation (RF) to receive subsidies towards grants in aid of socially oriented NGOs (SONGOs)

The ministry’s decision to hold the competition was announced on 5 February. Subjects of the RF having an authorised aid programme for SONGOS and budgetary provisions for defraying expenditure incurred during programme implementation, and the authorised executive agencies charged with cooperating with the ministry for the purpose of providing support to SONGOs may participate in the competition.
