Researcher from the Higher School of Economics receives international award for her thesis on CSO innovation

Irina Krasnopolskaya received the International Society for Third-Sector Research (ISTR) award.

The International Society for Third-Sector Research (ISTR), founded in 1992, is the largest association of CSO and civil society researchers worldwide. Every two years, the association awards one dissertation for an outstanding contribution to the study of the non-profit sector.

Irina Krasnopolskaya’s dissertation is devoted to studying social innovation in non-profit organisations and identifying factors that influence the innovativeness of non-profit organisations.

The title of the work is “When do non-profits produce social innovations? Exploring the determinants of the innovative capacity of non-profits, based on Russian survey data.” Krasnopolskaya defended it in 2020 at Radboud University, located in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. The work is published on the university’s website.
