Payments to Foster Parents have been indexed in the Kaluga Oblast

The Kaluga legislative assembly has passed a law regarding the above for 2008. The following rates have been set. The maintenance payment for each child is now 5,924 roubles (previously-5,500); for a disabled child – 11,848 (previously 11,000). The law provides for payment to foster parents to be increased to 1,185 roubles for looking after a child of three; to 2,370 roubles for those holding national awards; and to 1,185 roubles for those holding Kaluga regional awards for bringing up children.
