Russia: report required on payment of benefits for carers of sick children

The Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Finance and the Social Insurance Fund are required to provide reports by July 1.

President Vladimir Putin has previously instructed the government to study the question of whether parents with a sick child should receive temporary disability benefits at 100% of average earnings, regardless of length of the stay or treatments provided to the child (at home or in a hospital)

By June 10, the Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Finance must also develop and submit a plan for an integral system of support measures for low-income families with children. Additionally, by August 17, the responsible departments must prepare a report outlining the provision of financial assistance to families in need as well as pregnant women.
