The service “Dobro Mail.ru” has published a gender-based profile of Russian internet donors.

06.03.2023

Between February 2022 and February 2023, Dobro Mail.ru analysed its users. Their results show that women (56% in total) log on to Dobro Mail.ru more frequently than men. In comparison to men, women also donate to charity more frequently (51% in total). In 2021, 64% of those visiting the portal were women and 36% were men. In all, 53% of women gave to charity compared to 47% of men.

That said, men’s average donations were greater than women’s for the second year running. This year, the average donation for men was 78 roubles higher than for women. Last year, that figure was 37.

The analysis also showed that people aged between 25 and 40 who are interested in books, medicine and football are more likely to give to charity.
